Business Brokerage More than 80 acres of land in both Galloway and Lacey townships will be purchased for preservation by the Pinelands Commission. The Nature Conservancy, administering $400,000 in Pinelands Commission grant funds, chose to purchase 80 acres at the Heron Rookery in Galloway Township, 82 acres in the Forked River Mountain area, 384 acres in the Franklin Township Piney Hollow Natural area, and 97 acres in the Woodford Cedear Run Wildlife Refuge in the Rancocas Headwaters Greenway.
Five years ago, New Jersey voters approved the Garden State Preservation Trust Fund, a decades worth of money to preserve a million acres of open space and farmland. The fund made $98 million available for preservation each year for ten years. Since then, over 300, 000 acres have been added to New Jerseys inventory of preserved lands, including local parks, wetlands, farmlands and forests. So when it came time to ask voters to amend the Garden State Preservation Trust to take advantage of low interest rates, they did it again this Fall, 1!
Forex Broker The $400,000 in grant funds will be combined with an additional $1.17 million in private and public funding sources, said Michael Catania, executive director of the Nature Conservancy of New Jersey.

Online Brokerage The land acquisition grant fund was established through an agreement between the Pinelands Commission and the Cape May County Municipal Utilities Authority. The deadline for completing acquisitions through the fund is Dec. 31, 2005.
The legislation contains no "extreme land preservation development restrictions, " as Shaw states. It would simply provide funds to help purchase critical lands from willing sellers, lands that protect the drinking water of millions. Presently, open space preservation programs won't meet the need in the Highlands given the cost of land and pace of development.
