In The Tipping Point, Gladwell introduces us to the particular personality types who are natural pollinators of new ideas and trends, the people who create the phenomenon of word of mouth. He analyzes fashion trends, smoking, children s television, direct mail and the early days of the American Revolution for clues about making ideas infectious, and visits a religious commune, a successful high-tech company, and one of the world s greatest salesmen to show how to start and sustain social epidemics. The Tipping Point is an intellectual adventure story written with an infectious enthusiasm for the power and joy of new ideas. Most of all, it is a road map to change, with a profoundly hopeful message--that one imaginative person applying a well-placed lever can move the world. business brokerage

Most recent 5 reviews out of 36 Not As Good As Blink Submitted by Anonymous This is not as good as the other available Malcolm Gladwell book . I think it contains too few ideas reported to the number of pages/CDs to fill. Anyway, it s quite entertaining to listen it. The Tipping Point Submitted by Anonymous in Arlington, Book had excellent points. but the narration was so boring and monotonous that I couldn t focus my attention on them. online brokerage

Great read! Submitted by Angela Brown in Madison, I thoroughly enjoyed this read. It was informative, and engaging. I have been a fan of the author s writing in his New Yorker Articles. it was well researched and greatly detailed. I highly recommend it. Read the Unabridged Book too! Submitted by Lauralie This is a fantastic book. I strongly recommend investing extra time to read or listen to the full version. The Tipping Point is not telling you how to do something, it s merely telling you historically, and statistically, how a tipping point is reached. Best Wishes to all! real estate broker

Too Short Submitted by Dwyn Tomlinson Disappointing that this is abridged. Good stuff here about how things work. Particularly like the connectors versus mavens theory. Would have loved more details. Totally worth listening to. See More Reviews Rent Buy DL Club You must be logged in to view your rental shelf. You have no items in your cart. Simply Audiobooks - Tom Clancy Rainbow Six by Tom Clancy Description Tom Clancy s most shocking story to date - and closer to reality than any government would care to admit.

Over the course of nine novels, Tom Clancy s genius for big, compelling plots and his natural narrative gift (The New York Times Magazine) have established him as one of the preeminent storytellers of our time. In his new and most extraordinary novel, Rainbow Six, Clancy goes beyond anything he has done before. business broker

At its heart is John Clark, the ex-Navy SEAL of Without Remorse, a master of secret operational missions, and newly named the head of an international task force dedicated to combating terrorism. Clark is looking forward to sinking his teeth into a new mission, but the opportunities start coming faster than anyone could have expected; an incident at a Swiss bank, the kidnapping of an international trader in Germany, a terrible raid on an amusement park in Spain. brokerage account

Each episode seems separate, yet the timing disturbs Clark. Is there a connection He tries to figure out where all this activity is heading, but there is no way to predict the real threat: a group of terrorists like none the world has ever encountered, a group so extreme that their success could literally mean the end of life on this earth as we know it. stock broker

Most recent 5 reviews out of 9 Rainbow Six Submitted by Anonymous Quite honestly this book bored the living daylights out of me. It seemed to be written as an afterthought, alot of scenes starting seemingly from the middle rather than the beginning. Didn t seem to have a flow of events. Only at the 4th CD did the story start making any sense at all. Couldn t wait for it to be over. I ve heard its a great book but it didn t come through well on cd. It felt more simple than his other books. Everything was very easy and straightforward. I also felt very little excitement for the characters. Its fun, and better than the radio, but if I had to do it over again, I d go for a different one. brokerage online stock trading

Description The third in an extraordinary series of nonfiction audiobooks by the number-one-bestselling author -- a look deep into the art of war, as seen through the eyes of one of America s outstanding commanders.

The training, resourcefulness, and creativity of the Special Forces soldier make him capable of jobs that few other soldiers can handle, in situations where traditional arms and movement don t apply. Carl Stiner was only the second commander of SOCOM, the U.S. Special Operations Command responsible for the readiness of all the special operations forces of the Army, Navy, and Air Force, including the Green Berets, Navy SEALs, Rangers, Delta Force, Air Force Special Operations, PsyOps, and Civil Affairs. freight broker

Stiner and Clancy trace the transformation of the Special Forces from the small core of outsiders of the 1950s through the cauldron of Vietnam to the rebirth of the SF in the late 1980s and the 1990 as the bearer of the largest, most mixed, and most complex set of mission in the US military. From Vietnam and Laos to Panama, Lebanon, Saudi Arabia, Kuwait, and Iraq, these are stories of raids, couterterrorism, hostage rescues, reconnaissance, counterinsurgency, and psychological operations -- and also of building settlements, teaching civilians, cleaning up water supplies, and saving lives. This is a front-row seat to a man, an institiution, and a way of war and peace that make this an instant classic of military history. freight brokerage

Customer Reviews Review This Book

Most recent 3 reviews out of 3 Shadow Warriors [abr] Submitted by Mary McGuire I typically love non-fiction books, love military books and love Tom Clancy s books . . . so it surprised even me when I really couldn t get into this audiobook. It was more like a long recitation of indistinguishable facts than a story. When I think back on it I can only remember a droning voice talking at me rather like that mind numbingly bad history professor I had my freshman year in college . . . broker lie ticket

Improves as the story unfolds Submitted by AC in San Diego, This book begins slowly and meanders through many topics, but if you can get through this, an intriguing story unfolds. Although the story is interesting, this book suffers an identity crisis and lacks a cohesive plot. Fascinating Submitted by LPM A great book, I love to learn about history from the men that were there. Rent Buy DL Club 4th boost brokerage by

Customer Reviews Review This Book

Most recent 5 reviews out of 6 Shadows of Yesterday Submitted by Helen I am a huge fan of Sandra Brown, but I really found this story tedious. I didn t find the characters terribly convincing and guessed the ending long before it happened. I get the feeling that this was one of Sandra Brown s earlier novels; I think that some of her more recent novels are more powerful and engaging. florida mortgage broker

GREAT Submitted by Charity Moore This is a good book for someone who likes a good romance that can take you out of your world for just a little while. It is a sweet romance. cm Submitted by Anonymous in Chino Hills, This was an interesting story line. The presentation was enjoyable. Submitted by Anonymous in Stevenson Ranch, I have no idea how I finished the book. It was terrible. Not a bad story line, but the characters drove me nuts. The words they used are not realistic and the sex scenes were just plain ridiculous because no one really speaks in the manner that Chad Dillon talks. I would not recommend this book. insurance brokerage

Submitted by Anonymous in Irvine, I believe Mr. Rushide is one of those writers who really write from his heart. This was a very fascinating read. Highly recommended. Amazing writing Rushdie s use of language is amazing. I could picture every detail of the characters and setting as clearly as if I was there myself. Submitted by Paul Burnore in McDonough, This book is outstanding in every way. Rushdie is a master story teller and prose stylist who creates characters who are unforgettable.
