Business Brokerage Illegal logging is killing off the world's largest virgin forests located in Russia, a new environmental atlas shows. Virgin forests are almost extinct in European Russia, with only 9 per cent of the forested area still intact, according to The Atlas of Russia's Intact Forests compiled by Global Forest Watch, a non-governmental environmental organization.

Real Estate Broker Exam Primorie region is of particular concern, they say. Official forest cutting in the region is reported at three million cubic meters a year while illegal logging axes more than half that much.

Online Brokerage Firm Federal officials have promised a new law to combat illegal logging. The officials have declared they will amend Russia's criminal code to introduce tougher measures against illegal logging, and reinstate export quotas for wood. But no such measures have materialised yet.
