Previously Michael spent two years as group director of Consumer Technographics and two years as a senior analyst with Forrester`s Money & Technology Strategies team, where he examined the impact of emerging consumer technologies on the products and services offered by brokerages, mutual fund providers, banks, and insurance companies.

For instance, some brokers charge a fee whether a mortgage is secured or not. Borrowers need to be aware of up front fees and costs, and should always clearly understand the terms and conditions. Michael`s other experience includes strategic planning at Northwest Airlines, market research at American Express, and financial planning and analysis at Morgan Stanley.

But Ernoult says this offers opportunities for the broker. åith contract certainty and the FSA regulatory environment most policies have had to become more standardised to fall in line. But brokers have the knowledge to influence polices to become less standardised for the client. They can make a policy industry specific, area specific and it is better for the broker to create more bespoke polices as it shows the true value of the broker in such situations.

Submitted by Michael Scott in Santa Cruz, I'd actually gotten tired of Grisham novels, finding them to be too formulaic. So I've shied away from his works for quite some time. But I decided it had been far too long, intruduce myself to his works with The Broker. while Clancy he is not, WRT the typical spy novel, I was very surprised by this book, and found myself enjoying it thoroughly. Looks like I need to go find where I left off, and do some catching up.
