DEP Gives Green Light To Asbury Park Revitilization
Business Brokerage Commissioner Bradley M. Campbell today announced that the New Jersey Department of Environmental Protection (DEP) has issued a fast-tracked, comprehensive coastal development permit to the city of Asbury Park and Asbury Partners LLC, authorizing the construction of 3,164 residential units and 450,000 square feet of commercial space.
The proposal stems from a controversy last year when Asbury Park used $678, part of a $ foot section of its famed boardwalk with a rain forest hardwood.

Online Brokerage By PAUL LEAKAN Burlington County Times MEDFORD - An afternoon of classical music will help soothe the not-so-savage beasts at the Woodford Cedar Run Wildlife Refuge on Sawmill Road. Members of the Philadelphia Orchestra and several young local musicians will perform a concert to benefit Cedar Run on Sunday. Called "Serenade for Wild-life," the show is scheduled to begin at 3 p.m. at the Lord of Life Lutheran Church off Tab-ernacle Road in Tabernacle, near Shawnee High School. William Stokking, the Phila-delphia Orchestra's principal cellist, and his wife, Nancy, who plays cello and piano, began the concert series in 1994. Nancy Stokking is a volunteer at Cedar Run's wildlife rehabilitation hospital. Aside from the Stokkings, the concert will feature several other professional musicians. Among them are Jonathan Beiler, a Philadelphia Orchestra violinist, and Ranaan Meyer, a bassist with the Haddonfield Symphony and the Curtis Insti-tute Orchestra. The concert also showcase the talents of brothers Christopher Jones, 18, and Aaron Jones, 15. The two teens attend Rancocas Valley Regional High School in Mount Holly. Both began playing the violin at age 4. Christopher Jones has served as concertmaster and assistant concertmaster of the All-South Jersey Orchestra and New Jersey All-State Orchestra. He also is a member of the Philadelphia Youth Orchestra. Aaron Jones also plays with the South Jersey and All-State musical groups. He plays trombone in the school band and sings in the school choir. Tickets to the show are $15 for adults at the door. Advance sales tickets are $12.50 and can be purchased by calling Cedar Run at (856) 983-0326. Money raised by the concert goes toward feeding Cedar Run's injured or rescued wild-life, which range from a fox to a bald eagle. The money also goes toward staffing costs. The show raises about $4,000 each year, said Janet Jackson-Gould, Cedar Run's director.
